Roing, Aug 27: The Khelo India Samvaad, a Yuva Connect Programme on the occasion of National Sports Day 2026 was organized today as a nationally synchronized youth engagement initiative at Roing, Lower Dibang Valley. The programme featured the virtual address by the Prime Minister, followed by a Khelo India Dialogue with local sportspersons, youth icons, public representatives and participating youth.

 

The programme witnessed active participation from youth of JTGMD College and Government Polytechnic College, Roing. NSS volunteers were mobilized and coordinated by the District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, District Administration and NSS Programme Officers.

 

The Youth Icons present during the programme were Kesaya Elapra (Under-17 National Badminton Player), Prisha Kachari (Under-17 National Badminton Player), Abida Begum (District and State Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Winner; represented Arunachal Pradesh at the National Parliament) and Agano Linggi (Khelo India Football Coach).

 

DSO Roy Mihu, District Youth Officer MY Bharat Prashik Purushottam Rodge, NSS Programme Officers, JTGMD College, Imbo Pulu and Okiling Lego were present and actively involved in coordinating the programme.

 

The Khelo India Dialogue provided an interactive platform for youth to engage with sportspersons and youth icons, encouraging them to take up sports, develop a healthy lifestyle and contribute towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
