Namsai, Aug 27: The week-long Library Awareness Programme organised by the District Library, Namsai, concluded today at Government Model College, Piyong. The programme aimed to foster a love for reading among students and inspire them to read, learn and grow.

As part of the programme, awareness sessions were conducted at Arunachal University of Studies, Mahabodhi Lord Buddha College, C.P. Namchoom Government Polytechnic College, Government Model College, Piyong, Government Nursing School, Government Higher Secondary School, Government Secondary School, Zenith Child School, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) and Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Namsai.

Officers, teachers and representatives from universities, colleges, schools and various government departments actively participated as resource persons, along with the staff and volunteers of the District Library. Through their insightful interactions, they highlighted the importance and value of reading while creating awareness about the facilities, services and benefits offered by the District Library, Namsai, for the educational development of students.

A total of 1,502 students participated in the awareness programme, with 165 students enrolling for library membership on the spot.

The District Library, Namsai, expressed its sincere gratitude to all participating institutions, resource persons, officers, teachers and students for their valuable cooperation and support in making the week-long programme a resounding success.
