ITANAGAR, Dec 26: Strongly condemning the proposed 12 hours capital Bandh by Abotani Clan Organization (ATCO), former MLA,  Lokam Tassar on Tuesday has lodged an FIR against the (ATCO), president, Yamra Taya along with his associates at Police station, Itanagar.

In a release, Tassar while terming such bandh in the name of community as “illegal”, said that ATCO members have no right or mandate whatsoever from the Abotani clans to announced such bandh call.

“Descendents of Abotani have their own parental bodies which decides what and which matters to be pressed in for the benefit of the clan,” said Tassar.

Tassar alleged that this very act of Yamra Taya without taking the confidence of other clans may break the age old peaceful co-existence between our own people and urged the union to refrain from resorting to such tactics to gain cheap popularity and political mileage.

Furthermore calling such bandh call as infringement of fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution for the common public, he requested the law enforcing agencies to deal strictly with the bandh caller as well as sought cooperation of all stakeholders in ending the bandh culture.
