ITANAGAR, Aug 24:The capital complex district administration has put its first step forward to fulfill the long pending desire of the capital complex to have a 4 lane Highway with eviction of structures within RoW of NH-415 of Chandranagar area today.

The eviction was carried out by a team consisting of officials from the District Administration as well the PWD, Police and other line departments.

Despite unexpected rainfall, it could not deter the spirit of the officials in carrying out the eviction process. The demolition schedule for the proposed 4 laning of Highway from Papunallah to Chandranagar is expected to be completed by 2nd week of September. 

‘It would be a significant moment in the history of Capital Complex to see the project being implemented,’ said Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan and sought the cooperation of the residents in successfully executing the project.

Terming everyone as a stakeholder, the DC expressed gratitude to the residents of the Capital Complex for cooperating with the District Administration and carrying out self demolition. The DC further informed that two teams have been formed headed by Administrative Officers to carry out demolition of the left hand side and the right hand side of the NH-415. 

The DC further informed that all precautionary steps have been taken prior to starting of the process so that the eviction process is carried out smoothly.
