TEZU, Aug 11:Lohit district has achieved 93 per cent under MGNREGA making it one of the best performers. This was informed by Member of Parliament Arunachal East, Ninong Ering during the First Quarter Meeting of District Development and Coordination Committee Meeting for the year 2017.

Ering while reviewing the Physical and Financial achievement reports for the year 2016-17 of the committee and also this year’s Status Reports expressed his satisfaction for the over-all performance of all the Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the district.

The MP also expressed his deep concern at the devastating flood situation in different parts of the district.

Deputy Commissioner cum Member Secretary District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee, Danish Ashraf along with all concerned District Development Heads/Nodal Officers were present in the meeting.

Danish Ashraf highlighting the importance of the meeting said that the main thrust of Government to convene the meeting is to ensure better co-ordination amongst all the Development Departments in the district with elected representatives of Parliament, State Legislature and local governments for efficient and time bound development of the district in the country. He sought for active participation of all the District Development Heads/Nodal Officers for effective implementation of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes during 2017-18 and also urged them to keep liaise with each other while implementing the CSS for all-round development of the district.
