ITANAGAR, Oct 25:The All Arunachal Engineers Association (UAAEA) and the Unemployed All Arunachal Engineers Association (UAAEA) in a memorandum to the Chief Minister has requested him to cancel all the officiating  AE ( E&M) working in Department of Hydropower Development.

It cited that the development has paved way for illegal practices of holding up the AE (E&M) without following the norms which is depriving the unemployed youths from equal participation.

The association also alleged the Hydropower Development for playing with the sentiments of unemployed Engineering youths especially from Electrical & Mechanical branch by encouraging the practice of officiating basis.

The department of Hydropower Development has failed to follow the norms for promotion & direct recruitment and has filled up all the vacant post of AE (E&M) on officiating basis, it alleged clarifying that as per the laid norms the department should conduct DPC from JE to AE promotion and the equal proportion should be maintained as 50: 50 ratio.

Further it appealed the Minister of Hydropower Development (DHPD) to intervene into the matter and initiate measures for the welfare of deprived unemployed engineering youths at the earliest.
