PASIGHAT, Nov 8:  The East Siang District Olympic Association (ESDOA) which made its presence felt in the just concluded 2nd Arunachal Olympic Games-2017 held at Sangey Lhaden Sports Academy in the state capital by securing 6th position in the overall medal tally with 7 Gold, 4 Silver and 12 Bronze has promised to bring Games & Sports revolution in the district in particular.

During a performance appraisal to the Deputy Commissioner today, Advocate Vijoy Mize, Secretary General, ESDOA said that the contingent performed outstandingly in every event while maintaining sportsmanship spirit.

The East Siang contingent had participated in all 11 disciplines viz. Archery, Athletic, Badminton, Boxing, Football, Karate, Judo, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Weightlifting and Wushu.

 Mize further thanked MLAs Lombo Tayeng, Kento Rina and other officials for their moral and financial support in facilitating the team’s participation.

Promising to maintain the winning streak, the association said “Gold medals aren’t really made of gold; they are made of sweat, determination and dedication”.
