ITANAGAR, Aug 19:

The "e-Inner Line Permit (ILP)" implemented by the Department of IT & C which has created an online platform for making the Inner Line Permit readily available for the people who want to visit Arunachal Pradesh has been  awarded the– Outstanding Technology Project for Connecting the Unconnected  by the Indian Express Group, one of India's most respected media houses.

Special Secretary, IT&C, Prince Dhawan, received the award on behalf of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh today at the Express Technology Sabha conference underway at Goa from August 17-20.

 

 ‘This is a huge motivation for the IT Department and the e-ILP will truly boost the tourism scenario and open up the economy of the State to newer and exciting possibilities,’ Dhawan said while receiving the award.

The award for Excellence in e-Governance are presented to the most innovative and effective projects that have demonstrated excellent usage of technology for creating maximum impact with respect to demonstrating e-governance. 

The e-Inner Line Permit (eILP) project was launched by Chief Minister Pema Khandu by clicking-open the web portalwww.arunachalilp.com that provides visitors to apply and obtain the mandatory inner line permit (ILP) online from anywhere in the country. This system was conceptualized by State Council for IT and e-Governance and developed by Bohniman Systems Pvt Ltd for the department of Information Technology allows online submission of required documents, photograph and payment by a visitor or group of visitors. The system is mobile responsive and hence the ILP now issued will be paperless.
