ITANAGAR, Nov 21: The State BJP Unit of Arunachal Pradesh yet again got a major boost with the joining of one of the most prominent social workers and public figures of Nyishi community, Dr. Ligu Tacho, former Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission  today.

While speaking at the joining ceremony held at the State BJP Office, BJP legislators Tamar Murtem, Tage Taki and Japu Deru termed the joining of Dr. Ligu as a great addition to the party. They opined that his experience and wisdom will be of great value to party and hoped that it will guide the party to newer heights. 

State BJP General Secretary, Jarpum Gamlin, while welcoming Dr. Ligu gave a brief highlight on his contribution to society as a medical professional and later as President of IFCSAP in preservation of dwindling traditional culture and faith. Asserting that Dr. Ligu shares similar ideology as the BJP party, Gamlin termed that he will be an asset for the party.

Senior leaders of the party, Talo Mugli and Nyato Rigia also spoke on the occasion and expressed their profound happiness at his joining.

In his welcome speech, BJP State President, Tapir Gao termed Dr. Ligu as a ‘fatherly figure’ with whom he shared a long association and expressed great joy in welcoming Dr. Ligu into the Arunachal Pradesh BJP family.

Terming it as a major milestone for the BJP in the State, Gao urged Dr. Ligu to use his vast knowledge and experience for furthering the interest of the Party in the State. Gao also declared him as a State Executive Member of BJP Arunachal Pradesh.

In his speech Dr. Ligu committed to work sincerely for the party and categorically stated that he does not have any political ambition except to serve the party to the best of his abilities.
