PASIGHAT, Dec 3:As per instruction of Election Commission of India (ECI), a quiz contest on voter awareness was conducted for the students (14-17 years) studying in schools across the district on December 2 last by the District Election Officer (DEO), East Siang.

Altogether 22 students from nine government and three private schools participated in the district level round. DEHS School, Pasighat and Kendriya Vidyalaya have qualified to take part in the state level competition. Students selected at the state-level round will be sent to New Delhi to compete in the national-level round.

The Quiz contest was presided over by the DEO TamiyoTatak and local MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary (DM) Kaling Moyong and Superintendent of Police Prashant Gautam were also present to encourage the participants.
