PANGIN, Jul 18:The third day of awareness programme on disaster management being organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Siang District in collaboration with C-Coy 12th Batallion National Disaster Rescue Force, Doimukh was today conducted at Community Hall, Riga in which officers and staff of Riga sub-division, teaching faculty and students of Government Secondary School and general public participated.
Similar programme on Tuesday was held at Boleng in the presence of officers of Boleng Sub-Division, teaching faculty and over 500 students from various schools of the area.
The programme consisted of a detailed presentation on various aspects of disaster management including school safety, precautionary and preventive measures to be adopted given by Sub-Inspector, NDRF Ranveer Singh Pathania. This was followed by demonstration of very informative practical exercises on rescue, evacuation and first-aid by the NDRF team.
