YUPIA, Aug 8:Joining the rest of the country to raise awareness on handlooms, the Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Ministry of I & B, Itanagar organized an awareness programme at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Yupia on Monday to mark National Handloom Day.       

The main objective of the programme was to sensitize the students about the handloom industry and its role in socio-economic development of the country. Various programmes including an exhibition marked the day.
