PASIGHAT, Nov 25: To boost promotion of football in the district, a team of East Siang District Football Association and East Siang Olympic Association called on Parliamentary Secretary for Sports & Youth Affairs, Nyamar Karbak and Joint Director Youth Affairs cum Member Secretary, Khelo India Arunachal Pradesh, Gumnya Karbak here at Siang Guest House today.

DFA headed by President, General Jamoh, General Secretary, Tayon Dai, ESOA Vice President, Onya Padung and DSO, East Siang, Nada Apa in a meeting with Parliamentary Secretary and Joint Director have appealed for government assistance towards reviving football tournaments like Matmur Jamoh memorial and late Bote Moyong memorial which are presently suspended due to lack of funds and assistance from the government.

Karbak has assured to look into the genuine needs and has suggested DSO to submit the proposal and estimate. 

Earlier on Thursday official jersey of DFA being sponsored by MM Enterprise, Pasighat was unveiled by DSO Nada Apa in the presence of DFA executive members.

Meanwhile, an 18 member football team selected by a selection board of DFA headed by Chairman, Oling Jamoh will represent East Siang in the zonal qualifier in this year’s Tadar Tang Memorial Football Tournament. The host team West Siang will clash with East Siang on November 27 next in the inaugural.
