AALO, Dec 13: The newly constructed office building at Kodum circle, executed by WRD department was inaugurated by Deputy Speaker Er Tumke Bagra today.
Addressing the gathering at Kodum General Ground, Er Bagra said that functioning of the circle
is quite essential to keep pace with administrative needs of the thickly populated Ubu Bango people and he disclosed that Rs. 10 crore made available to his discretion has been put into Nikte-Nyorak road
that connects the circle.
He sought cooperation of the officers of the Bango and executing agencies to bring more tangible developments to the area.
Responding to three point memorandum submitted by Lijum Ete, Circle Officer Kodum on behalf of the Ubu Bango people pertaining to construction of CO
quarter, Barrack for officials, internal road connectivity and sanctioning of regular posts for the
circle, he assured to take up the matter on priority basis.
Kodum-Nikte road is considered as one of
the most important roads as it can give connectivity to nine circles of West Siang and Kaying circle of
Siang with Assam besides movement of army to border circle of Mechuka and Monigong also.
Guest of Honour, Chief Engineer RWD, Er Doli Nyodu stressed on unity and oneness among the people of Bango to take up development activities in the area and stressed on making the area a crime free zone where policing is not essential.
Deputy Commissioner West Siang, Swetika Sachan also addressed the gathering among others.
