TEZU, Nov 2:Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lohit District, Karma Leki, the first preliminary meeting of the district level screening committee on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swalamban Yojana (DDUSY) was held today. So far three applications from local youths have been received and scrutinised accordingly by the committee.

The DC speaking on the significance of the DDUSY told the prospective entrepreneurs that the main aim of the scheme is to encourage unemployed youths for entrepreneurship by providing financial subsidies.

Certain eligibility criterion are mandatory to avail the scheme for which he advised them to go through the guidelines of the DDUSY and submit relevant documents to avoid unnecessary delay for further recommendations to the State Level Screening Committee.

He also advised the youths to do proper research of their proposed schemes before submitting any proposal to the DLSC and also urged them to explore avenues like home stays.
