DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap
ITANAGAR, Dec 21:
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein inaugurated the renovated premises of Vijaya Bank Itanagar Branch in presence of Executive Director Vijaya Bank, BS Rama Rao, Regional Manager Shantanu Mukharjee, Assistant General Manager Pradeep Kumar Behera, businessmen, customers, senior citizens and others at Zero Point Tinali here today.
Complimenting Vijaya Bank for its successful journey since its inception in 1978, Mein advocated all financial institutions to actively participate in government sponsored schemes and extend help to the people of the state for setting up small, medium and large scale enterprise including farmer’s loan to help improve their financial condition.
‘Availing the bank loans against government schemes should be made easy especially for the farmers and educated youths of the state,’ he added.
Mein said the advent of latest technology is encouraging and has brought transparency in the banking sector and facilitated customers to avail easy banking services.
The Executive Director BS Rama Rao has said that Vijaya Bank is in the continuous process of striking balance between growth and consolidation of the business within and outside the state.
‘We remain conscious of the convenience of our valuable customers at all our delivery points. Besides providing world class services and products to our customers, we are trying to ensure that they have a richer experience of banking with us,’ he added.
Regional Manager Shantanu Mukharjee has urged upon the people to avail maximum benefits from the banks customer friendly products especially e-banking and mobile banking.
Earlier, the DCM paid floral tribute to the portrait of founding chairman of Vijaya Bank.
