DAPORIJO, Dec 21:

A meeting of District Task Force for Intensified Mission Indradhanush and Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC)/Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) was held at the DC’s office chamber to chalk out the action plan for the district.
Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf, while conducting the meeting, exhorted all to work hard in providing maximum coverage to achieve maximum percentage of coverage in the MR vaccination campaign in the district. He said that as the district had a tough terrain, an early start could be considered for the vaccination campaign in the district. The DC cautioned on double counting and said that the actual attendance of students should be considered instead of the enrolled number.
A Power Point Presentation was also presented by Dr. Vijay Deokar RRT (WHO) in detail about MRVC, its causes, effect and remedies .The vaccination campaign will be carried out in all schools and Anganwadi centres in the district from February 1-28 next for children of 9 months to below 15 years.
