LIKABALI, Oct 3:Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner, Lower Siang district, AK Singh promised to bring development to the doorsteps of the people with administrative conveniences and resolve challenges of the newly created district with utmost care and sincerity to make it as a model one. 

Singh was speaking at a reception ceremony organized at Likabali organized by the Lower Siang Elite Forum (LSEF) on behalf of all Galo community, which was attended by members of frontal organizations like Galo Peoples Front, Galo Student Union, Galo Youth Organisation, Jigo Yego Student Union, Ramle Bango Student Union and Ramle Bango Youth Forum along with the public.

 The new SP, Lower Siang District in his address, Singjatla Singhpo, while giving thanks to LSEF for the warm welcome, shared about the hurdles of establishing the police department and sought full cooperation of the people in maintaining law and order. 

Interacting with the duo, Dr. Minge Loyi, General Secretary, GWS shared in brief the struggle and reasons for creation of Lower Siang District and elaborated in detail the issues concerning the new district to both officials. 

Dr. Loyi, requested the DC to work together with his East Siang counterpart in the matter of Kora Circle to bring a final solution through the participation of actual stakeholders of the Circle. He also informed that the curving out of Lepa-Rada would need study and approval of the DC, Lower Siang District.
