ITANAGAR, Sep 2:

 

The Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan today inaugurated the Naya Bharat Hum Karke Rahenge multimedia exhibition here at Banquet Hall, Itanagar.

 

Speaking as the Chief Guest, the DC stressed that five years after the Quit India Movement, India attained freedom so it is the dream of the Prime Minister to see a new India that is free of garbage, poverty, corruption, terrorism, casteism and communalism five years from now that is by 2022. He appealed everyone to contribute their share in making this dream into a reality. He urged everyone to follow the pledge of New India- Sankalp se Siddhi in letter and spirit.

 

 

Terming that education is the biggest equaliser in society, the DC urged the students to study hard and set an example for rest to follow so that they can give back something to society.

The DC also urged the students to utilise advancement in technology like smart classroom facilities, start up etc.

 

Taking opportunity of the presence of students, the DC also stressed on the importance of Aadhaar enrolment and asked them to get enrolled and stressed on opening individual bank accounts. For Aadhaar, the DC informed that every help would be provided by the District Administration.

 

S K Rai General Manager (HSE and Coordination) and Ashit Kumar Baruah General Manager Projects Oil India Limited attended as the Guest of Honour. They also highlighted the importance of the vision of the New India and the motive of the exhibition.

 

 

The two days exhibition is being organised by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, GoI and Oil India Limited under Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, GoI and designed by Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI.

 

The exhibition is based on Sankalp Se Siddhi- Prime Ministers vision of building a New India by freeing India of garbage, poverty, corruption, terrorism, casein and communalism by 2022. The motive of the exhibition is to provide information about the flagship programmes of Govt. of India like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India, Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao, smart cities and initiatives like Goods and Services Tax, Demonetisation arc through a series of photo panels and audio- visual displays.

The exhibition also highlights the important aspects of freedom struggle of India and the unification of States post independence through photo features displayed at the exhibition. Other highlights of the exhibition are theme based cultural programmes by the artists of Song and Drama Division.
