ITANAGAR, Oct 24:Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan today formally handed over the land allotment order of three separate areas measuring 2880, 3483 and 2675 square metres to the Director Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Dr. Moji Jini in presence of Special Secretary (Health) Tapasya Raghav and BVS Murthy OSD to Director TRIHMS for the establishment of the state’s first medical college.

As per the Medical Council of India Guidelines, the earlier allotted area for the establishment of the medical college was insufficient; hence the TRIHMS authority approached the State Government for additional land, the allotment copy of which was formally handed over today.

Thanking the DC for facilitating and expediting the same, Dr. Jini said that the additional area would serve the purpose for the establishment of the medical college, hostels etc.

The DC has requested the denizens of the Capital Complex to provide their support and cooperation in bringing up the first medical college of the state and stressed that ‘we should be really thankful of the fact that such a big institution would be established in the Capital Complex.’
