YUPIA, Jul 17: The District Health Society, Papum Pare District conducted one day workshop on Integrated Action plan for Pneumonia and Diarrhoea (IAPPD) under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner -Cum-Chairman DHS Dr. Joram Beda, IAS at ZPC conference hall Yupia today.
While speaking to the participants, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Beda, called upon all participants to actively participate in the discussion and said that discussion should be effective and impactful. He said that Pneumonia and Diarrhoea are very endemic diseases and we must take AIPPD on mission mode to make it successful.
Taking note of discrepancies in data collection process, Dr.Beda reiterated that special training must be given to all MO in-Charges on HMIS and proper implementation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in letter and spirit and also to put to task all the Data Entry Operators by strictly instructing them to be very serious in their job, adding that DMO should also ensure that all Medical Officers are sincerely doing their duty and responsibilities.
Earlier, DMO Dr. (Mrs) Subu Tasso Kampu while welcoming the participants, briefly highlighted on AIPPD and its importance. She requested all participants to make best use of knowledge gained through the training and MO In-Charges to ensure that correct data are disseminated to the headquarters.
During the discussion, role and responsibility of line departments on prevention of Pneumonia and Diarrhoea were also discussed with deartments like PHED, Education, ICDS and Forest.
Dr.Meenakshi, Consultant, UNICEF and Dr.Tana Natung, State Nodal Officer ( Child Health) were the resource persons and they gave presentations on various topics on Action Plan for Pneumonia and Diarrhoea.
