ITANAGAR, Aug 11:Deputy Commissioner Anjaw, Mamata Riba has called for revival of all the cooperative societies formed long back in the district. She was addressing a daylong awareness programme on cooperative societies held today at Hawai organised jointly by Assistant registrar of cooperative societies (ARCS) with Department of cooperation and district administration.

Highlighting the importance of cooperative movement to improve the economic status of society, Riba also expressed concern on poor status of the cooperative movement in the district.

Sharing his long experience in the field of cooperative society, senior citizen and social reformer, Mayeso Pul requested the district administration to continue educating the ignorant public of the district for improving livelihood.

Earlier, a power point presentation was also displayed on cooperative movement in the country by ARCS, Anjaw, Nosar Ronya to participants.
