ITANAGAR, Oct 31:  Chief Secretary Satya Gopal called on the Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan today. Gopal, who recently joined the State Government as the Chief Secretary, apprised the Governor on various aspects of governance and developmental progress of the State.

The Governor emphasised on transparency and accountability in every aspect of governance.  He stressed that the fruits of development must reach to the last person in the last rung of society.

‘Effort should be made to facilitate the poorest of the poor to avail benefits from welfare programmes and policies of Central and State Governments,’ he underscored. 

The Governor advised the Chief Secretary to focus on educational institutions for the benefit of the students.

The newly appointed Chief Secretary also called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu today.

Giving a courtesy call, the Chief Secretary had a brief discussion on the development issues of the state. 

Khandu instructed the Chief Secretary to immediately take up Yangte-Tali road on priority and to start execution work by this year.
