ITANAGAR, Aug 23:In a four point memorandum submitted to the Governor, the All Arunachal Pradesh Border Students Union has demanded creation of post of independent minister and director for border affairs, which will oversee all interstate border issues.

Justifying its demands, the union said an immediate system is needed to check the problems and hardships being faced by people living in boundary areas and to monitor increasing land encroachment.

Informing that the recruitment process of 977 post of 3rd batch of AAPBn for border areas approved by cabinet in the year 2010 is yet to be conducted by the department, the union called upon the Governor to initiate action for early start of the process.
