ITANAGAR, Aug 29: All Arunachal Contractors Welfare Association (AACWA) has urged the  Chairman of  the Arunachal Pradesh  Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APBOCWWB) to judiciously use  the  board  funds in the interest of the labour community.

In its press statement, AACWA stated that all the companies, PSUs and local contractor’s contribute 1% labor cess from their bill against their construction and supply works to the board but till date no big achievements have been done by the board.

 Even children of labour community are yet to get education facilities under the board, a release stated.

While  expressing confidence  on newly appointed  Chairman, Jalley Sonam, the union hoped that  Sonam  will work for the  greater interest of the labour community and  properly  use  the  cess funds maintaining transparency.

Moreover appealing the government to nominate its members from any NGOs as per the bye-laws of boards, AACWA also suggested the state government to make transparency of its collection by publishing the total collection of board in local dailies annually.
