ITANAGAR, Oct 14:

Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), President, Takam Sanjoy recently inaugurated Block Congress Committee (BCC) office at Likabali, Lower Siang district, in which all the prominent Congress leaders including senior party workers and office bearers of the party attended.

 

Congratulating the people of Likabali, Sanjoy while terming Likabali as a historically famous town, stated that Galos of the area have always been on the side of the Congress since time immemorial.

 

Taking reference of a judgment given by Guwahati High Court recently over the merging of 43 Congress MLAs to PPA then to the BJP, Sanjoy affirmed of restoring Congress rule again in the state and sought support from every worker to teach the BJP for undemocratically snatching its MLAs by alluring  them with financial support . 

 

“Congress is going to give a befitting reply to BJP as it is in mission mode,” affirmed Sanjoy while announcing that it is the Congress party which can  bring peace, harmony, unity and development in the state.

 Congress will bounce back particularly in Likabali Assembly constituency along with PakkeKessang Constituency, he added.

On the occasion, he also remembered late Jomde Kena, a versatile leader who was elected from Congress ticket  from Likabali  Assembly Constituency, which has fallen vacant  after his untimely demise.

Addressing the people of Likabali, General Secretary AIMCC, Jarjum Ete said that Congress never betrayed its supporters and well-wishers and has never turned its face on the people.

Congress is against the practice of  divide and rule in the name of  religion, culture and community, she pointed out adding that Congress  believes in equality and pays regard ,respect and co-exists peacefully.
