ITANAGAR, Oct 11:   Joining the party high command, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today demanded the resignation of BJP National President, Amit Shah to ensure independent probe into his son’s business dealings.

Addressing reporters at Press Club today, APCC Spokesman Hina Camder Tok referred to a recent report which disclosed that BJP President Amit Shah’s son, Jay Shah’s business grew 16,000-fold the year after Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed power in 2014.

‘Shah must quit as there cannot be an independent probe into his son’s business as long as he remains the chief of the ruling party,’ he added.

‘When such allegations were made against Congress members and BJP endorsed probe by investigating agencies then why not on Jay Shah,’ he questioned.

Ridiculing the BJP government, the APCC Spokesperson said that BJP’s ideology is corruption-free governance but now its own members are under the radar of corruption.

‘Moreover, there is no vision in the BJP government. In last three years, they failed to grant any big development project to Arunachal. Whatever we are witnessing today like Civil Secretariat, State Assembly, Trans Arunachal Highway all the blessing of UPA-I & UPA-II government. There is ‘zero contribution’ from Narendra Modi-led BJP Government,’ Tok asserted.
