ITANAGAR, Sep 6 : Members of the Arunachal Pradesh Compassionate Ground Association have voiced their grievances, urging the government to address their longstanding issues regarding job absorption under compassionate grounds.
Speaking to the media, a representative of the association expressed frustration over the lack of response from both the Police Department and the state government.
The association claimed that despite numerous appeals and meetings with previous Home Minister Bamang Felix and the current Minister Mama Natung, no significant progress has been made. "Our grievances have not been listened to by our own Police Department or the state government," a member lamented.
In an effort to raise awareness about their situation, the association plans to visit every district to highlight the deprivation faced by affected families and to prevent future occurrences of similar issues. "We don’t want the problems we face now to be repeated for other families in the future," said the spokesperson.
The crux of the complaint lies in the failure of the government to follow court orders regarding the absorption of family members against individuals who lost their lives in service to the department. "Had the court orders been properly maintained, we wouldn’t have over 460 individuals still waiting for job appointments under compassionate grounds," the member stressed.
The association continues to demand swift action and hopes that the government will take steps to rectify this prolonged issue, added the member.
