ITANAGAR, Dec 9:

 

The Siang District headquarters Selection Committee, (SDHSC) on Saturday reiterated its demand to the state government for early declaration of Boleng as permanent headquarters of Siang considering the past recommendation by various committees.

 

Referring to its meeting held on August 2012, the committee claimed that selection of Boleng as district headquarters had been already finalized in that meeting, which was held under chairmanship of Tagom Tasing and Tapang Tamut, Vice Chairman SDHSC.

 

in addition, the Siang District Re-organization Intellectual forum  in an executive meeting held on 20th December, 2014 in its report had also recommended Boleng as the most feasible place for Headquarters of Siang District,” the committee said.

 

It also claimed that in the Joint Meeting of Pangin-Boleng leaders held on 3rd January 2014, the leaders present had also endorsed their full support and proposed for the same.

 

Further terming the Government Notification declaring Nyobo(Perang-Lampang) as temporary headquarters of Siang as “ unjustified” , the committee  accused  former Education Minister cum PPA, MLA, Tapang Taloh for the chaos alleging  that under his guidance and direction such problem cropped up.
