WALONG, Apr 1: In a shocking revelation, Chinese network coverage have been observed on the Indian side in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday. As per reports, the sporadic change in the network has been observed close to Walong in the northeastern state. Reports state that the changes taking place between Indian and Chinese network are really sporadic.

Following the Doklam- standoff- the most tense military confrontation between the two countries in decades, India has deployed more troops and significantly increased patrolling in the mountainous terrains of Dibang, Dau-Delai and Lohit valleys along the borders with China in the Tibetan region in Arunachal sector.

As per reports by PTI, military officials said India is also strengthening its surveillance mechanism to keep an eye on Chinese activities along the borders in the strategically sensitive Tibetan region and has even been regularly deploying choppers to carry out recce. Post-Doklam, the military has increased our activities manifold and is now fully prepared to deal with any challenge.

To recall, the troops of India and China were locked in a 73-day-long standoff in Doklam from June 16, 2017, after the Indian side stopped the building of a road in the area by the Chinese Army. The face-off had ended on August 28, 2017. As per reports by PTI, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said on March 25, 2018, that India was "alert" and ready to deal with any "unforeseen situation" in Doklam. She had also said that the government was constantly working towards modernisation of forces.

Also, Kahoo Village, the eastern-most village of India, which is close to Chinese Line of Actual Control (LAC), is home to only 12 families which in total have around 76 people. The village, situated in Arunachal Pradesh, is home to Meyor tribe, the least known frontier tribe. Reports by ANI state that as situated in remote area, the village reels under poor infrastructure and locals complain of poor road and network connectivity. However, the village head said that the Indian Army helps them in making calls and other services too.

According to recent reports, the strategic areas of East of Arunachal are reeling under poor infrastructure, as the only lifeline for the people and military in these areas is the single lane and poor roads of about 200 km.
