ITANAGAR, Oct 17: In what may be termed as the match of AAPSU’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, the final of the Kipa Kache Memorial Football Tournament was played between All Changlang District Students Union (ACDSU) &  All Lower Subansiri District Students Union (ALSDSU) where the former defeated the latter with a score line of 4-2.

Lower Subansiri took the lead in the 30th minute, with a goal scored by Taug Sera. And minutes later Changlang won a penalty, which was brilliantly kept out by the keeper. But Lower Subansiri's lead was short-lived as Daniel Keylym Mossang found the equaliser in the 40th minute of the match. The first half saw 1-1 with both teams creating equal chances.

Tailyang Ribya via a brilliant header made sure Lower Subansiri kept the lead just 4 minutes after half time. Yet again Changlang came back from behind to steal the victory through back to back goals by Daniel Kelym Mossang (70'min, 85'min) , Mehang Nokbi (73') respectively.

The match saw Pura Byai hitting the crossbar twice, had the shot kissed the nets, the results could have been different. But luck favours the brave. Daniel Mossang with his hat-trick was very easily the best player of the match and is the highest scorer in the tournament with 7 goals to his kitty.

The match was attended by Hawa Bagang (President, AAPSU), Tobom Dai (Gen. Secy. AAPSU) & Meje Taku, VP (admin) AAPSU, respectively along with various other executive members of AAPSU.
