TEZU, Jan 6:

 

Minister, AH&V, Research Art& Culture, Dr. Mohesh Chai who recently embarked on a development tour of his constituencies on December 5 last winded it with a development meeting at Yealiang General Ground in Sunpura today.

 

Earlier on January 4, Chai accompanied by District Heads attended Development meeting at Bekhuliang Community Hall which was also attended by people of Bedagam, Payagam, Tusegam, Hajuliang and Bekhuliang.  There he announced an all weather road from Digaru Tri-junction to Bekhuliang, Internal village road carpeting, veterinary dispensary, new anganwadi building,  toilets for GUPS Bekhuliang and GPS Bedagam, new inspection bungalow at Bekhuliang and youth club building.

 

On the final day of his tour, Chai inaugurated Police Check Post at Digaru Tri-junction, electricity line under DDUGY for the people residing in Digaru area who were living since many years without electricity. Later, on the same day he also inaugurated two new classrooms, computer room and office for Chou Sali Memorial GUP School, Old Sunpura and New IB at Yealiang near Circle office Sunpura.

 

While attending the development meeting at Yealiang General Ground, Chai terming the last State Budget as one of the most illustrative and developmental centric budget, reiterated that the Health and Education are the main focus area of the state government including making Arunachal an Organic State involving all stakeholders in the development.

 

“Recent decision for recruitment of Subjects Teacher and Medical Officers to fill up the gaps in Education and Health sector is one of the courageous decisions of the government,” said Chai adding tapping of Hydro and Tourism potential of the state is also one of the focus areas.

 

In addition, Chai also announced few more important projects for the Sunpura Circle such as Multi Purpose Hall at Yealiang, six bedded Male and Female ward at CHC Sunpura, RCC Boundary Wall for CO Office Sunpura, New Rostrum for Yealiang General Ground etc.

 

“Up gradation of CO office to EAC office,  SBI Branch,  major flood protection work,  village link road, infrastructure development for Sunpura are in consideration for Sunpura,”  Chai later informed.

 

Speaking on the occasion, DC Karma Leki advised the people of Tezu and Sunpura to reap the fruits of nature's boon and appealed the villagers to explore organic agri-horti farming in the abundant fertile land available in the district. He also emphasized on preservation and protection of Forest cover and Forest Reserve in the area.
