ITANAGAR, Jul 17: Defending champion Capital Complex FC maintained its dominating streak in the league to lift its second Arunachal Women’s League title in a row beating Arunachal Sporting Club by 4-1 in the final match played today at R.G Stadium, Naharlagun.
 
It was ASC which opened the scoring in 10 minutes when Kai Rumi took advantage of the error committed by CCFC’s goal keeper. CCFC came back strong from behind and scored the equalizer in 18th minute through Techi Akung. Akung completed her brace and two more goals from Roshni Ramching(45’) and Achom Degio(47’) helped their team to seal the victory.
 
Techi Akung of CCFC was declared Highest Scorer of the tournament with an astonishing 16 goals. Maidyamsai Tailu of ASC won her second Best Goalkeeper award in two years.While, Nabam Kamyi of CCFC was adjudged Player of the Tournament.
 
Earlier Dr. Mohesh Chai, Sports Minister who attended the closing ceremony, emphasized on the need of proper sports policy in the state to produce international level talents. He advised players to maintain sportsmanship and work hard on their dreams to succeed in life.
