ITANAGAR, Oct 16: A body of a female was found under mysterious condition on the banks of the Senki River near Industrial Estate at Chandranagar today.

‘The local people of the area informed the police about the body around 11.45 this morning. On receipt of the information the police team led by SI RK Jha visited the spot and found that a young girl, aged around 20-23 was lying breathless,’ informed Superintendent of Police, Capital Complex, Sagar Singh Kalsi.

‘It was only towards late afternoon that we were able to establish the identity of the victim as one Yapak Siga,’ disclosed the SP while adding that the reason behind the death is yet to ascertained.

A case of unnatural death vide Itanagar PS case no- 12 /17 u/s-174 CRPC has been registered.
