ITANAGAR, Sep 13:Asserting that the rationalization process is adversely affecting the students across the state, the Arunachal Civil Society (ACS) on Wednesday has said that the exercise has done more harm than good to the government run schools across the state.

Highlighting condition of various schools under the capital complex, the ACS, president, Pate Tayum said the inequitable distribution has not only affected thousands of teachers, but has left few schools with no teachers while others have numbers more than required.

Tayum alleged that students are sitting idle in their classes because there is no teacher available to teach them as their teachers have been transferred out but their replacements have not arrived yet.

Also disclosing that the education department is bringing newly recruited teachers in capital complex while transferring well experienced teachers outside, Tayum opined that newly recruited teachers should be transferred to interior places where they will be able to learn and experience something new.

“The Midterm exams will begin from November and if this state of affairs continues then who will take responsible for the results of students. Such measures should be initiated before the starting of the academic session and now government should interfere and take immediate remedial measures to check the crisis before it’s too late for the welfare of the students,” Tayum added.

Furthermore, blaming the Secretary Education for the blunder, the ACS condemned him for not sparing teachers who are on the verge of retirement and stated that if the performance of schools of the current academic year will be affected then Secretary Education will be solely responsible for it.
