ITANAGAR, Aug 14:Following accusations by former NEDA alliance partner, People’s Party of Arunachal that the only reason for ending the alliance was because of their role to remove Chief Minister Pema Khandu on the charges of criminal conspiracy in the Tawang incident and corruption charges, the BJP state unit termed the allegations as unfounded and having no connection with the termination of the alliance.
NEDA could not continue the partnership with PPA because their MLAs were more of Congress minded and were working like Congress agents and misleading the people against our Chief Minister, a press statement from the BJP read.
‘Instead of extending full cooperation to the NEDA alliance government led by BJP in the state, PPA was indulging in divisive politics within and wanted to destabilize the strong and stable government by demanding removal of the Chief Minister on groundless and baseless charges,’ said senior BJP Vice President & newly appointed party Chief Spokesperson Adv. Dominic Tadar.
