ITANAGAR, Nov 7: Following one year completion of demonetization  which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 November 2016, the Indian National Congress (INC)  and  the ruling  Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is observing the anniversary in two different ways .

Claiming demonetization as a bold decision against Black money, state BJP is observing the day as ‘Anti Black Money Day’ on the other hand INC claiming it as total failure that has broken the economy of the country is observing November 8 as ‘Black Day’.

BJP is organizing a special program celebrating the success of demonetization where Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju will attend. The INC  will hold a candle light march from Tennis Court, IG Park to Rajiv Bhawan on the same day.
