ITANAGAR, Jul 2: Condemning China’s expansionist policy and recent intrusion in Sikkim, the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) today staged a protest at tennis court Itanagar.

Members from state BJP, RSS, VHP, Tibet Support Group Arunachal unit and several social activists participated in the protest.

Wearing black bands on their heads, protesters shouted slogan against China’s intrusion in Indian Territory from Arunachal to Ladhak. They also burnt the effigy of Chinese premier Xi Jinping.

While condemning provoking act in Sikkim, BTSM – Mahila Unit President, Mahi Nyodu urged the people of India as well Arunachalese to refrain from using Chinese goods to make China economically weak as a mark of protest. ‘I also appeal the business community of the state to boycott all Chinese made products,’ she said.

Echoing similar sentiments, National Executive Member, BJP, RK Khirme said China should refrain from its repeated act of expansionist policy in Indian Territory.  ‘We condemn the Sikkim incursion and China’s double standards in disturbing the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra,’ he added.

In a strong message, Khirme further urged China to stop claiming Indian Territory as their land.

‘Arunachal is integral part of India and it will remain so instead China should withdraw its authority from Tibet to make it free. There was no dispute in borders when Tibet was free but after invasion of Lhasa by Beijing sudden border disputes have erupted,’ he asserted.
