ITANAGAR, Oct 3:Brig (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd) was sworn-in as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh in the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Itanagar today. Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Justice Ajit Singh administered the Oath of Office.

State’s First Lady Neelam Mishra, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Union Minister of State (Home) Kiren Rijiju, Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly, Er. T.N. Thongdok, Parliamentary Secretaries, Members of Legislative Assembly, Chief Secretary Shakuntala Gamlin, senior officers, public leaders, special invitees and distinguished guests also attended the function. 

The swearing-in ceremony was followed by State Guard of Honour presented by Arunachal Pradesh Police at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar.

Earlier, on his arrival at Itanagar, State reception was accorded to 
Brig (Dr.) Mishra (Retd) at Raj Bhavan helipad. A Guard of Honour by Arunachal Pradesh Police was presented to the Governor designate.

At Raj Bhawan, Brig (Dr.) Mishra (Retd) and his wife were received by officers and staff of Raj Bhawan led by Secretary to Governor Vinod P Kavle. A Guard of Honour by Indo Tibetan Border Police platoon was also presented to the Governor designate.
