AALO, Oct 30: The first day of the 36-hour bandh called by the Aalo Town Public Welfare & Development Society (ATPWDS) against the government and the construction company TK Engineering Consortium for early execution of Trans Arunachal highway of Tau to Gabu section of Aalo-Bam road passed of peacefully.

The bandh has paralyzed normal routine of the town as all government offices, private institutions, business establishments remained closed and vehicles were off the road. Attendance in government offices was also very thin.

The ATPWDS has threatened more rigorous movement if their demand is not fulfilled within stipulated timeframe.
