PASIGHAT, Jan 9: The 23^rd death anniversary of visionary leader late Bakin Pertin was observed at his Mirbuk residence here on Friday last in which well-wishers paid floral tribute recalling his great contributions.

The programme was arranged and led by Kepang Erang Kebang, Pasighat Block, President, Tokbom Perme and Gen. Secy. Orin Ratan in which the gathering offered prayers to the late leader who is still remembered and known as a Philosopher, Thinker and Political Guru by many contemporary leaders of Arunachal Pradesh today.

Late Pertin was born on 1^st May, 1942 at Damro Village under present Mariyang Sub-Division in Upper Siang District. During his illustrious career, Pertin  became the first elected MP from Arunachal Pradesh in the Sixth Lok Sabha. He was the Founder President of People’s Party of Arunachal Pradesh (PPA). Pertin passed away on 5^th January 1996.
