ITANAGAR, May 4:All India Football Federation, Chief of Operations, Kishore Taid today on his maiden visit to the state inspected the newly constructed Artificial Turf Ground at Sangey Lahden Sports Academy and also met Director of Sports, Tadar Appa.
Arriving here on invitation of Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh Football Association, Kipa Ajay, Taid during his meeting with Director of Sports & Secretary APFA discussed the importance of AIFF’s new initiative: The Baby League, a football league for 5 to 12 years old children for the development of the game from grassroot level and gave valuable suggestions for its implementation.
Further, he lauded the effort put in by the APFA for the development of football in the state and agreed to provided more help in terms of trainings and refresher courses for coaches as well as referees and technical inputs for the development of football.
Baby League of Football will be organized by APFA in the month of September and Arunachal Pradesh will become the second state after Meghalaya to implement the said program, informed Orin Lego, Coordinator, APFA. The Association will also organize a workshop under the guidance of AIFF's instructor regarding the league in the month of June.
