NAHARLAGUN, Sep 11: Oti Sitang Eko has been awarded progressive farmer award by Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), Mushroom Research Directorate, Chambagahat, Solan in Himachal Pradesh on September 10 last.

The award was presented by former Member of Parliament Suresh Sandil at a national level function for mushroom growers (National Mushroom Mela-2017) in which Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala, Punjab and Haryana  participated.

She was awarded with citation along with cash reward as a token for rendering her services in this field.

Eko a permanent resident of Pasighat East Siang district have been cultivating mushroom for many years and at present she is cultivating mushroom and promoting its cultivation in the state.
