ITANAGAR, Nov 11:

 

Marking 25 years of the Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP), a two day zilla samellan on eternal faith commenced on Saturday organized by the AVP, Papum Pare District, which was inaugurated by  President, BJP, Papum Pare District, Tana Hali in presence of Secretary General, IFCSAP, Bai Taba.

While interacting with the Karyakartas from different circles of the district, Hali lauded the role of AVP in the state for its contribution towards preservation of indigenous culture and tradition.

 He exhorted, NGO’s working in the state to also focus on developing the physical, mental and spiritual progress of the community. In addition, apart from tribal cultural development activities, he urged the AVP to impart knowledge on conservation and protection of the ecosystem to the tribal communities.

Chief Guest, Bai Taba also commended the contribution of AVP in indigenous cultural and tradition movement in the state. He congratulated the AVP for successful completion of 25 years of social service in the state.

About a hundred delegates from Hollongi, Kokila, Tarasso, Balijan, Kimin, Mengio, Toru, Kheel, Banderdewa and Doimukh circles are participating in the conference.
