 Embezzlement allegation

ES Reporter

ITANAGAR, Sep 20: Continuing the war of words and refuting clarification given by the Government Spokesperson PD Sona regarding embezzlement Rs 10,000 crore from the state exchequer, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee today demanded a CBI enquiry into the whole episode.

Responding to the query of the media persons here today at Rajiv Bhawan, Spokesperson APCC, HK Tok claimed that the letter written by the Chief Secretary who is the Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister itself is proof that there is huge embezzlement of fund that needs to be unearthed.

‘If BJP Government  is  clean then they should  welcome CBI enquiry,’ Tok said.

While, speaking on the pressing Chakma- Hajong citizenship issue, he stated that Congress was and will always be against granting of citizenship to refugees.

‘There are no written documents of agreement during Indira Gandhi’s government that the refugees will be provided citizenship they were only allowed to settle on humanitarian grounds. Moreover during Congress regime there was no move made to grant citizenship to the refugees,’ he claimed.

‘It’s MoS Kiren Rijiju who is playing blame game  on such crucial issue…so if an elected representative  who is in a top position of the central government  and BJP led State government cannot do anything for the rights of its people then they should tender their resignation on moral grounds,’ said the APCC Spokesperson.

Moreover, when the state is struggling with Chakma-Hajong issue, this government has brought another misery to the state by implementing Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy, he added.

Further, slamming the state government for running the government without any programme and policy for the all round development of the state since last one year, Tok mocked the state government for shouting ‘Modi-Modi’ instead of working for the downtrodden people.

‘There were vision documents during the Congress regime but now the government is running without any direction,’ he asserted.
