ITANAGAR, Mar 31: A day after candidates of Forester and Forest Guard posts protested outside the APSSB office alleging anomalies in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Secretary APSSB, Santosh Kumar Rai(IAS) today said that the Board will hold a meeting and candidates will get a fair chance.
Speaking to the media, the Secretary informed that at least 73 candidates who completed their PET on March 25 last have been reported disqualified, so board has decided to hold a meeting on the matter to give fair chances to the candidates.
"Due to heavy rain on the particular day the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) used to track the candidates had stopped sending signals due to which their report were not uploaded in the system. However, when checked through the CCTV, we have found that the candidates have completed the walks as per the PET," asserted the Secretary.
APSSB is trying its best to conduct free, fair and transparent examination using all kind of technologies but sometimes due to a few technical glitches we have to face such situation, the Secretary added without mentioning that there was no plan "B" to monitor it physically in case of such technical glitches.
