ITANAGAR, Oct 26:  Day after the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission published the accepted applications of more than 22,000 candidates for the upcoming combined competitive examinations it has landed in controversy. In this backdrop the apex students’ body AAPSU while demanding immediate deletion of the names within a week.

Speaking to media persons, President AAPSU, Hawa Bagang, who along with few members’ visited the APPSC office this morning opined that the lackadaisical attitude of the Commission has hurt the sentiments and emotions of the indigenous people. The Union also questioned the move as the citizenship issue is still subjudice.

‘When the issue is in on the boil, the Commission should have been extra cautious. We will never accept this kind of attitude and it may be a conspiracy,’ Bagang added while also demanding enquiry on the whole episode.

‘When citizenship issue is still pending in court then how can their applications be accepted in the state’s top competitive examination,’ questioned General Secretary AAPSU, Tobom Dai while informing that the Union has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding immediate cancellation/deletion of all applications belonging to Chakma-Hajong, disciplinary action of scrutiny committee of APPSC and immediate furnishing of all the documents of Chakma candidates within one week.
