ITANAGAR, Nov 3: After facing backlash especially from the apex student body AAPSU, the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has deleted the names of the four Chakma candidates through an executive order.

Citing the Rule 3 of AAPSCCE 2001, Commission claimed that the four Chakma candidates belong to refugee community who have not been granted citizenship of India and whereas matter is sub judice.

Moreover recently, the state government also unanimously adopted a resolution against granting of citizenship to Chakma-Hajong, added AAPSC in its office memorandum.

Earlier on October 26, after the AAPSC list carrying the names of four Chakma candidates for the civil services prelims exam went viral on social media, AAPSU activists reportedly served ultimatum to the Commission seeking deletion of all four names within a week.
