ITANAGAR, Sep 14: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC)  today demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein  for  siphoning –off  more than Rs 10,000 crore from Revised Estimate, Special Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF) and State Annual Development Agenda (SADA) 2016-17.

Speaking to reporters at Rajiv Bhavan, APCC Chief, Takam Sanjay quoted the official letter written by Chief Secretary to the Governor seeking his intervention on the huge financial mismanagement in the State Exchequer through Finance Commissioner Ashish Kundra.

Sanjay while alleging Chief Minister Pema Khandu and DCM, Mein, slammed the BJP government for deliberately mocking the Prime Minister’s slogan of ‘Na Khaunga Na khane dunga’ to root out corruption from the country.

‘There should be CBI enquiry based on the letter written by the Chief Secretary to find out the truth. When in other states, Centre can impose CBI enquiry on corruption charges then why not in Arunachal,’ questioned the APCC chief.

‘We have also received reports that due to the bold steps taken by the Chief Secretary against corruption in the state there is strong lobbying  going on to transfer her within couple of weeks,’ claimed Sanjay while threatening to resort to strong action if the state government initiates such a step.

Further leveling series of corruption charges to the BJP led state government, Sanjay claimed that the BJP government in the state has failed to stand on its ideology of corruption-free Arunachal. He also demanded CBI enquiry against MoS Home, Kiren Rijiju  for his  alleged involvement in the  Rs 450 Crore Bichom Hydropower scam corruption charges.

‘Pema Khandu with his team changed their coat from Congress to BJP claiming to give a corruption-free state and also huge flow of fund from the Centre, but people are witnessing where our state is heading. There is no fullstop to the corruption going on and on other side there is no fund to pay salaries of department like, SSA, RMSA,DRDA and also the PMGSY projects,’ Sanjay claimed.
