ITANAGAR, Nov 22:Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee has strongly condemned Pema Khandu for stating ‘Nehruvian Policy of Panchsheel a barrier for economic development for the people of North East’ during his recent visit to Imphal.  Nehruvian Policy should not be treated as a ‘sweeping statement’ as it has become the fashion in BJP circle to decry Nehru and Congress. Pema Khandu himself was a congress leader, hence inevitably advancing the Nehruvian Panchsheel policy earlier. Nonetheless it’s a situation of sardonicism and embarrassment for Pema ,that after merging to BJP he is bizarrely talking against the policy of most popularly accepted by the people just to attract applause from BJP Heads.

People in North East are developing along the lines of their own genius. Tribal rights in land and forest is respected and tribals are trained in the work of administration and development. Though statics representationof north eastern states may be less in comparison to other states in India but by the human character that is evolved is enormous only due to Panchsheel policy. Today, people of Arunachal Pradesh in particular and North East in general are protected and enjoying utmost liberty and democracy in true sense in terms of economic development is also the outcome of Nehruvian Model of Development.

Nehru had laid the foundations for the economic growth of the nation. Nehruvian policy is still relevant unlike Pema’s biased advocacy on Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014 and Refugee Settlement issue by exploiting and trampling  the rights  of   the APST, said the APCC in a press statemen
